Baron’s Blackberry Cobbler

Baron's Blackberry Cobbler

A simple recipe for blackberry cobbler. My future father-in-law cultivates enormous blackberry bushes and usually has enough. I tried quite a few different recipes, but none of them was just right. Therefore, I devised this one, and it proved to be so successful that my fiancee proclaimed it to be the finest she had ever experienced. Serve while still warm, along with heavy cream or whipped cream.

Detailed Instructions and a Checklist

Step 1

Prepare an oven by heating it to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C). Prepare a baking dish that is 9×13 inches and lightly grease it. In a separate bowl, combine the sugar and cornstarch by whisking them together. Set this aside.

Step 2

Blackberries should be placed in a mixing bowl, and then a quarter cup of melted butter should be drizzled over them. Scatter the cornstarch mixture over the top, and then toss to coat the ingredients evenly. The berries should be spread out evenly in the baking dish that has been prepared. Flour, baking powder, and salt should be combined with 1 1/2 cups of sugar and whisked together in a basin separate from the other ingredients. Mix the milk, vanilla essence, and 1/4 cup melted butter together with a stir-stick until the ingredients are incorporated but there are still some lumps. The batter should be poured over the berries.

Step 3

Bake in an oven that has been prepared until the crust is golden brown and the berries are soft, which should take between 55 minutes and an hour.
