This is the ideal recipe for some cookies that are not only simple and fast to make, but also quite tasty. There are just four ingredients required, and the baking time is only ten minutes.
This recipe yields twenty individual cookies. Chef Jean-Baptiste Lucas, a French pastry chef working in Bangkok, Thailand, was kind enough to share his recipe with us.
90 g flour
75 g butter
30 g icing sugar
2 g salt
Instructions for Making Cookies Using Shortbread
Whisk the butter, powdered sugar, and salt together in a bowl until the mixture is extremely frothy and pale.
After adding the flour, rapidly combine the ingredients.
Place on a baking sheet and roll out to a thickness of 1-2 millimeters.
Place in the refrigerator to keep until it is firm.
Bake for five minutes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius.
After removing the cookies from the oven, use a ring to make cuts in them.
Continue baking for about 5 minutes more, or until the edges of the cookies begin to turn golden.
